       In Louisville Kentucky summertime activities begin with the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May and ends with the Labor Day holiday in September.  Between these two events are Memorial Day and the 4th of July with plenty of things to enjoy including Hot Air Balloons, Ohio Riverfront concerts and firework displays, U of L Cardinals baseball games, Iron Man competition, horse racing, riverboats, the Arts on Main Street and much more.
