Nancy Pelosi Embraces The Suck!

       December 5, 2013 – Nancy Pelosi states that “we can not support a budget agreement without unemployment insurance, it would undermine us as a country”.

       December 12, 2013 – Nancy Pelosi advised her colleagues to “embrace the suck” and vote for the budget bill without any unemployment insurance.

       Nancy Pelosi advised her colleagues to support a budget bill without any long term unemployment insurance extension even though she previously said the bill would undermine us as a country. Her exact advice was to “embrace the suck”. Her colleague, John Yarmuth, representative from Kentucky’s 3rd District, followed her advise and voted for the budget bill.

With friends like these, who needs the Republicans . . .

        During his September 25, 2013 filibuster, Senator Ted Cruz said “I like their little burgers, I’m a big fan of eating White Castle burgers”. To verify his claim, we found Ted Cruz ordering White Castle burgers through the Drive Thru window, but without a car.

       The Republicans fired a missile at Obamacare in the name of Senator Ted Cruz. This “Cruz Missile”, with a 42nd consecutive Congressional vote to defund Obamacare, is looking to eliminate the healthcare legislation that was passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court.

“and now we’re back where we started, here we go round again, day after day I get up and say, I better do it again”.

         Candidates seeking the office of President of The United States of America are bound to have their critics and Hillary Clinton is no exception. The critics who mention Hillary’s age in 2016 seem to forget she will be around eight months younger than Ronald Reagan was when he was elected.

         In a very Reaganesque reply to her critics Hillary answered “You do not stop running for office because you are old, you are old because you stop running for office”.

        This linoleum relief print was used to illustrate a story about Christmas in the mountains. I wanted to convey a feeling of welcome, as you returned to the cabin from out of the cold. The sense of warmth and belonging with the lit window and the smoke curling from the chimney. Most of all, the beauty and serenity of Christmas surrounded by snow and towering mountains. Printed on vellum paper and then washed with watercolors.
