Bill Name For Unemployment Benefits Extension 2014

           Some people have reported to me that when contacting their Senator with the links I provided on this blog page, they were asked by the Senator’s Office what the name of the bill to extend unemployment benefits was. If asked, tell them Bill “S.2077” Here is that info;

        S. 2077, The Emergency Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2014, (sponsored by Jack Reed (D-RI) would provide for a 6 month extension of UI benefits retroactive to December 28.

To date, a vote has not been scheduled.

    When are the American people going to realize the Republicans will not do anything to help the 47%. Even those in dire need of unemployment benefits who paid into the system for years?

      I agree with you but that is why we need the bill to extend unemployment benefits to go to the House of Representatives, to get each and every member on record as to whether they support it or not. Every person in the House is up for re-election this November, so the pressure could make a difference.

      Thank you for writing!
