Extend Unemployment Benefits Part 1

Extend Unemployment Part One

Extend Unemployment Benefits Part 1

        It has been two months since Congress and our President left town on their Christmas holiday vacation promising to extend unemployment benefits upon their return. Now over 1.7 million people have lost their unemployment benefits.

        The last vote in the Senate on Feb. 6th failed by one vote, most notably the vote of Rob Portman of Ohio who previously said he would only approve a bill to extend unemployment that was paid for by cost cutting, which this bill did.

Good news everybody! Senator Rob Portman has a Facebook page where you can leave a message;

        This Senator is only a small part of the problem. Whether you are affected by this problem directly or not, the cut off of unemployment funds has a far reaching negative influence on our economy.

Contact President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden by email to let them where you stand on this important issue;

Thank You!
